TV Time

I let Keira watch TV every morning (and afternoon and night sometimes :P). Her favourite show is Veggietales, in particular: "Lyle the Kindly Viking", a musical cartoon show!

And this time round... she is being super relax and lazy... look how she sat!

Attention to all mommies and daddies! Letting our children watch too much TV is not good, no matter how educational the show is. The reason is our kids will be too used to fast movement, they are more inclined to watching than listening. in the future, when they attend classes, they might be slower in catching up because not many schools teach thru TV program I guess (at least not in Msia), but instead the teachers will be writing on the board or reading or talking out loud, so... the kids get bored easily and they wont be able to focus after awhile. So... try to limit the TV time okay?!

Flash cards are GOOD!
The bottom line is parents must set aside time to teach their babies or tods or children.

I have to discipline myself in teaching Keira too. So to all parents, let's JIA YOU together!

Looking forward for the next trip!

Toddler Soon.....

Time fliesssss.... Can someone stop the time plssss??? I know noone can :( It's not that I dont want Keira to grow up, but it's just too fast... if time can move a lil slower...

At 10 months and 20 days, my lil girl likes to climb here and there. She understands 'no', and just yesterday she made a sound that sounded like "no no no no no", but she said it "nay nay nay nay nay", I'm still finding out if that's what she meant. She said that when we put her on the sofa instead of letting her crawl and climb around the living room, she said that too when I put her on the baby car seat.

She ate all kinds of food already :P Doesn't sound like a good parent ey? But I just can't help!! I let her try quite a lot of stuff like buns (normal gardenia bun, banana bun from Bread Story, the bun from Mc.D set meal, sponge cake etc), siakap fish @ a Thai restaurant (it was a lil bit spicy), kuewtiao, noodles, beehun, rice, fried egg, coffee (AHAHAHHAHAHA juuuusssttttt a bit) and a bit of bubble tea (jjuuuuuuussstttt a bit of the tea). Sometimes I just want to see her reaction. But really, it was just a lil bit, not more than a drop!!!!

But of course, that's not what I gave her regularly. On normal day, I would cook porridge with either beef or chicken or fish with pumpkin or sweet potato or carrot or some other vege and potato. No salt no sugar nothing... So usually I let her eat healthy food la :P

I love to give her hard boiled egg yolk too (esp when i dont cook and i let her eat rice cereal). Somehow I feel she is smarter after she eats that. LOL.

Have I ever told you that she loved to throw things on the floor, and oh actually she liked to look at them drop to the floor. Sometimes she looked cute when doing that. Well basically she looked cute all the time. HAHA...

She waves bye bye, she gives us her fly kiss, she lifts up her hands when we say "Hooraaayyy", she claps her hands, she dances when we ask her to do so, she has some funny expression which never fails to make me laugh, and she loves it when i laugh, and she will pout and come to me when I pretend to cry. Even when I just bow my head and be quiet, she will be worried and come to me and pat me.

She sat down quietly and looked at how I trimmed her nails. I so like this moment.

She called PAPA very loudly everytime papa not in the room. And of course, papa never failed to show up each time she called. She only called mama in the time of crisis =.=

She is very bubbly and talkative. She talks a lottttttt..... A typical girl la basically.

Sometimes I wish to have another baby soon, but.... in order to give Keira the best, I think I should keep to my initial plan, to have the 2nd one when Keira is 3 yrs old. HAHA....

She is turning into a toddler in less than 2 months!!!!!!! Oh gosh....... It's time to think about the birthday celebration. Where and whom to invite.

Anyway, again it's a long blog, but I have to assure you that raising Keira is such a fun, beautiful, and fulfilling thing. I can't stop thanking God for her in my life, of course my hubby plays a big part in making it easy and exciting!!!

After So Long...

Hmm.. let me count, the last time I went to somewhere out of town for vacation was....... i mean really just went to do nothing...... was.... during my honeymoon???

After Keira arrived, I had never arranged any trip to anywhere unless it was necessary, ie chinese new year or family related events. but this time round, we went to Genting highland (and Keith just planned it 3-4 days before) just to do NOTHING and to relax and to refresh ourselves. It was not as tough and complicated as we thought. Keira was very easy to be taken care. She was so obedient throughout the journey. We really almost did nothing but to play and relax (of course there was still a lil bit of works here and there) but I can say I enjoyed it :)

Keira loved the weather there, she slept for almost... hmmm.. 10 hours!
Oh in case you haven't known, she has been sleeping thru the nights for almost 2-3 weeks now. I know I know some of you envied me... LOL... I didn't do anything actually, she JUST slept thru! Thank God!!! :P

Well... photos will be uploaded soon yeah! but for now, I just write down whatever i remember, if i wait til i have the pics, probably i've forgotten most of the things i'm gonna write now.

Btw we went there with Sam and Eunice :) a wonderful couple that just got married for almost 1 month. And we met up with Ooi, Yen Fen and cheeky Dylan there. On Sunday afternoon, after the check-in, we head off for dinner (yeah we reached quite late), then we took those trains (whatever they were called) that toured around the mall. Keira loved it! Didn't do much after that, just walked around the mall, enjoying the windy and cooling night. The next day, I woke up before 8am expecting Keira to wake up soon, but because the weather was pretty cold, she slept til 9:30am.

We spent about an hour or two and played ... hmm.. we called it "time-zone" game back in Indo. what do you call here? Basically you put in some coins and you start to play the games. Honestly, it was quite fun but tiring as well, cos we forgot to bring Keira's stroller, so we took turn to carry her. At the end, we exchanged all the tickets we won with one towel for Keira and one children book for teacher Eunice ;)

when we reached KL, we went to Segambut and ate the tomyam. It was usually very very very delicious (hot spicy sour and sweaty... oops I mean the food was spicy and sour but the one who's eating would be sweaty), but probably because we went right before they closed, the soup wasn't as fresh anymore. So it was quite disappointing. In case you don't know, inside the soup, they put lots of big prawns, scallops, oysters, fish, squids and clams. *yummy* I used to crave for the tomyam btw. but this time round... *sigh*

Anyway, we had a GREAT weekend ^^ something that we should do every now and then I guess.

I know it's a long blog, so probably I should write another separate blog to update you about Keira. Cos she has grown so much, and there are just so many things I have to tell you HAHA...

Photos coming up soon yeah :)

Erin, wonder if you're reading this blog? ahaha... see i've updated my blog!
